Alberta, British Columbia, or Saskatchewan
Full-time | Field-based | Early Career Opportunity
About the Role
Ready to trade your classroom for the great outdoors? As an Environmental Field Technician at Evotek, you’ll be part of a boots-on-the-ground team tackling real-world environmental challenges. From soil and groundwater sampling to helicopter landings on remote sites, this is not your average 9-to-5.
This role is ideal for recent grads in Environmental Science or related fields who are curious, adaptable, and ready to learn what this industry is really about, beyond the textbooks.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct Phase 1 and Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments (ESA)
- Collect and analyze soil and groundwater samples
- Assist with remediation and reclamation projects
- Work in remote locations across Western Canada (yes, sometimes in the snow)
- Collaborate with experienced consultants and project leads
- Document field activities and contribute to technical reports
What You’ll Need
- A degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
- Comfortable working in rugged outdoor conditions
- Curiosity, grit, and a good sense of humour
- No fear of getting your boots dirty
What to Expect
Fieldwork is demanding—physically and mentally. You’ll be outdoors, sometimes in remote areas, sometimes in less-than-ideal weather.
You’ll learn fast, work hard, and be supported by a team that’s been there.
We’re not a sweatshop. We believe in balance, mentorship, and doing things right, not rushed.
Why Evotek?
We’re not your typical environmental firm. We care about our people as much as our projects.
You’ll be part of a team that values transparency, flexibility, and a bit of tongue-in-cheek humour.
We’re growing fast and want you to grow with us.
